The Shimano G05A-RX is a 5th-generation resin disc brake pad designed for 2-piston calipers. It features a "narrow" pad shape and an aluminium (alloy) backing plate, which reduces weight and improves heat dissipation compared to steel versions like the G05S-RX.
Key Performance Specs
- Wear Resistance: Offers 50% better durability than the previous G03A model and 110% better than the G02A.
- Braking Feel: High modulation (5/5) and very quiet operation, providing a "softer" and more progressive feel than metallic/sintered pads.
- Conditions: Optimized for both dry and wet conditions, though like most resin pads, they may wear faster in heavy mud.
- Design: These are non-finned (no radiator fins)
